Sen Mustapha lauds Sholagberu’s appointment to International Union of Muslim Scholars

The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has hailed the recent appointment of a renowned Islamic scholar and the Malami Ubandomah of Ilorin, Sheik Dr. Abdulkadir Jumuah Salman Sholagberu, as a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) in Doha, Qatar.

Senator Mustapha who is representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly described the recognition as a testament to Dr. Sholagberu’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of Islamic knowledge and his lifelong commitment to the propagation of Islam.

In a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday by his media aide, Nasif Sholagberu, Senator Mustapha described the appointment as both timely and well-deserved, emphasizing that this global acknowledgment underscores Dr. Sholagberu’s dedication to Islamic education, his scholarly contributions, and his consistent efforts to foster unity and understanding within the Muslim community.

The Senator further recognized the contributions of Dr. Sholagberu’s institution, Darul Kitab College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, which has gained a reputation as a respected center for nurturing future leaders in the Islamic world.

Senator Mustapha said that Dr. Sholagberu’s new appointment not only brings honour to Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large, but also enhances Nigeria’s representation on the global Islamic stage.

While congratulating Dr. Sholagberu on the appointment, the senator prayed Allah to grant him wisdom, guidance, and success as he continues to uplift the Muslim community and bring honor to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara, and the country at large.
